Born into a union of Kentucky Old Poor and Gulf Coast Wild Irish, Eileen Rush was made in New Orleans, born in South Carolina and educated in the Blue Ridge Mountains. She lives in Louisville, Kentucky. This is her first publication in a literary journal.
