Lily in Compost

Rosemary Rhodes Royston, of Blairsville, Ga., captured this image of a red lily that secretly grew in last summer’s composting spot. Rosemary said it was a lovely surprise “to find this beautiful flower in a hidden place that once was home to eggshells, fruit and veggie rinds, and wilted lettuce.”
