Travel writer Betty Lowry provides an
ecotravel information network,
including links to myriad eco-travel Web sites around the world.

wealth of information relating to all aspects of responsible travel.
The Independent Traveler
includes a Resources tab with a Green Travel Center. This site will
help you plan an eco-wise trip without sacrificing creature comforts
or going off into the jungle.
The National Wildlife Federation's
Great American Backyard Campout
Web site
offers camping essentials and other ideas, as well as a scrapbook
and camper profiles for sharing outdoor experiences. Find out more
about "The Great American Backyard Campout," held each year on the
fourth Saturday of June.
Sustainable Travel International
provides an online "eco-directory" destination guide, searchable by
desired vacation experience and/or destination.
The Green Hotels Association
brings together hotels interested in environmental issues. The
association encourages, promotes and supports the "greening" of the
lodging industry.

site for locations of green diners, cafes, kitchens,
bakeries and resorts and retreat centers.
The Better World Club supports
a cleaner environment and alternative modes of transportation,
offering environmentally sensitive products and services for
roadside assistance, travel and insurance.
